Monark Asian Bistro has been one of the longest standing Riverside, CA restaurants serving Chinese food. It is also one of the oldest Canyon Crest restaurants located in the Canyon Crest Town Centre. It has been featured in an episode of the TV show Destination LA.
A Riverside Legacy Since 1990
The owner, Karen, began operating the restaurant in 1990 when it was known as Little Emperor. Before transforming into Monark Asian Bistro, the restaurant was serving outstanding Chinese food in Riverside that received numerous restaurant awards. It was also praised as the best Riverside Chinese restaurant.
The Birth of Monark Asian Bistro
After running one of the most successful Asian restaurants in Riverside CA, Karen decided to elevate Little Emperor to have an upscale dining experience. In 2007, the restaurant was renovated with a beautiful interior to become one of the most comfortable places to eat in Riverside, and the name was changed to Monark Asian Bistro.

Monark Asian Bistro expanded its offerings to include special dishes inspired by other regions of Asia that cannot be found anywhere else. It has also continued to serve the same Chinese food in Riverside and Thai food loved by many.
